Full Job Description:

Petroleum Equipment Incorporated of Kansas City specializes in providing parts and contracting services needed to construct and maintain retail, commercial, industrial, fleet, aviation and marina fueling operations. The Environmental Compliance Technician will manage and document all Environmental needs.  Our Environmental Technician is a dynamic individual that is self-motivated, self-directed, and works independently in a fast-paced environment. Multi-tasking, effective listening, and clear communication are key to the success of this position. This position reports to the Product Support Leader; and will have the opportunity to grow into additional responsibility and leadership, as the company grows and expands.

Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States. Capped financial assistance is available for relocation. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Manage Environmental Program
  • Accurately document and update customer accounts with testing results
  • Create and Maintain service agreements for environmental testing
  • Create and Maintain Technician Certification Program
  • Communicates with customer and DNR on Environmental needs and services
  • Stays current with emails, procedural updates, and handling documentation
  • Coordinates with field service to provide timely updates to clients on open testing calls
  • Call Management/Navigation to ensure ETA and SLA adherence by contract requirement to client
  • Schedule and update preventative maintenance, installations, repairs, in regard to testing that was done
  • Use modern technology to retrieve customer and update customer information
  • Completion of Testing jobs as needed to invoice customers on a timely basis
  • Identify opportunities for future work while on site testing
  • Training Technicians in all areas of testing
  • Coordinate with receiving on incoming parts for service and construction scheduling
  • Process incoming testing and insurance paperwork to shared file
  • Back up Inventory/Warehouse Manager
  • Other duties assigned by management
  • Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate department and/or Sales Rep

Qualifications:

  • Technical School/College or 5+ years equivalent experience in a comparable industry.
  • Preference will be given to those who have prior experience in: customer service, call center or a coordination Environment Leadership, Talent Management, Scheduling and Supervisor Experience
  • Above and beyond customer service in all situations
  • Maintains professional confidentiality and patience with Field Service Technicians, Customers, and employees
  • Ability to build, maintain, and contribute to a positive team workplace
  • Meets productivity standards, quality metrics, and completes work in a timely manner
  • Adhere to compliance requirements at all times
  • Critical thinking, quick decision making, and using reason while dealing with emotional topics
  • Identify and resolve issues timely by gathering and analyzing information skillfully, developing alternative solutions
  • Speaks clearly and persuasively in a positive manner even in negative situations
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • Technical competence with mechanical functions, specialized equipment repair and service writing
